2018 Friday — Reflections
After walking the three pups in Hardy Park and one complete lap around the block and back to the park, we put the pups back in the car and then made a quick stop at the library which is just across from the park; then we went for a ride to see this small provincial town from a variety of angles.
First, we drove out Birch Street, which becomes Cayucos Creek Road, all the way to the end at Thunder Canyon Road. We saw cattle grazing and a freshly plowed field, and an old Victorian house at the very end of the road.
Then we turned around to drive back into town and went to see the shore, the waves, and the pier. A wedding rehearsal was happening near the pier, but it was the Illumination of the pier on the sand that caught my attention. I think this was my best photo today.
As we drove on Ocean Avenue back toward our street, it was apparent that we are entering a three day weekend. The motels are full and no empty parking spots were available downtown.
After we got back to the house, the sundown show began and it was spectacular.
