……………...…Cakes


These are quite a work of art by my very proud eight-year-old granddaughter.

For those of you who follow my journal and checked out the extra photos yesterday you might well have spotted a set of three cooking books for children - bought by Sophia with her holiday money.

Sophia chose to bake the chocolate cup cake recipe and with only a small amount of guidance and supervision, yesterday afternoon was spent in the kitchen baking.

This afternoon they were iced and decorated. The cakes were light and fluffy, and delicious. And we have one young granddaughter who is very proud and happy with her new skills and impressive end result.
