EBCDIC
Bit of a surprise at work today. A client's partner sent a file that no one could read. It looked like non-sense in a text editor, but I thought it could be either compressed text or IBM EBCDIC data. I've known about EBDIC for years but never seen it, and a quick conversion turned the gibberish to something readable.
Today's blip is my trusty IBM keyboard, I've blipped the black one before, and the right side of the bi-colour one made from a white keyboard and some keys from the black one when it died.
I'm not sure what we will do with the EBCDIC file, but I did use the IBM keyboard to to my job.
