January thaw-- Look Quick!

Yesterday this side yard was thick with snow as was the entire landscape.  Today at 2 pm 70ºF  it is clear. Flood watch or warning due.
Persey is out there hunting voles to bring inside for some live toy play. Locked outside is he.
The big snow starts tonight and  into tomorrow. Then this will all be covered again and the voles will go back to sleep.
I think this annual event may be like our groundhog's day. If the vole sees his shadow coming up out of his hole then we will have another 10 weeks (or more) of winter!
