Aechmea Fasciata

A walk through the glasshouses in Glasgow's Botanic Gardens this afternoon ..... very warm and steamy in one or two of the areas. Both the lens on my camera and my glasses kept steaming up and needed constant wiping.

This Aechmea, a native of South America, is one of the most common Bromeliads.
