FlowerFriday12_2018: They Gotta Eat Too

Yesterday the Camellia Bush had two fresh and beautiful blooms on it. This morning, FlowerFriday of course and no other flowers in the yard, I saw that one had been mostly devoured, probably by squirrels. So this one was chosen for honor mostly by default. I'm still a bit shaken by some backyard drama earlier this morning. I was washing dishes when I head a commotion and then the heart wrenching sounds of a small animal in dire distress. I looked out to just catch a glimpse of a large, probably Red-shouldered Hawk, flying off with someone in it's talons. Valhaus at Pondside now has one less squirrel. :(
