She did it!

After a good first day back at music school, we learnt at 6pm tonight that out of approximately 1000 entrants, katie was the one mini to be chosen for the modelling ambassadorship! She was one of only 5 girls of any age chosen today and the big kids are seriously talented. It’s a uk company with international stockists. She’s going to be involved in photo shoots, dance conventions and more. I had to write her bio this evening for their website- to a style they’d given us- and it really rather threw me to put it together. My little 8 year old..,.

Katie began dancing aged 2 and hasn’t stopped since. She entered her very first festival in the babies’ section & placed first time. Aged 5, she did her first ballet solo and won, going on to win in consecutive years & was awarded the highest marks for Ballet under 11years, aged 6.
Katie has danced on the television show Inside Out, alongside Xander Parrish and the Pearson sisters. She danced in pantomime for the first time last year and had a fantastic time alongside Linda Lusardi and Postman Pat!
Katie studies several forms of dance but her heart lies with ballet. London is one of her favourite places, where she’s taken part in workshops with the English National Ballet & the RAD, attended the Ballet Boost summer school at Pineapple Dance and danced onstage at the London Colosseum.
Katie has modelled commercially since the age of 4, for renowned American portrait photographer Tamara Lackey and several UK photographers.
When she isn’t dancing, Katie is a talented musician. She studies piano and clarinet at Yorkshire’s only centre of excellence for young musicians and with the Northern orchestra of the National Children’s Orchestras. She’s played in the Royal Albert Hall and regularly plays in workshops at the Royal College of Music.
Katie is looking forward to upcoming classes with Central School of Ballet and the Royal Ballet School associates and is excited for her year with Team Eden!
