Upside Down
I took this shot hanging backwards off the arm of the couch. Well, it's not quite as dramatic as all that. But I did lean over backwards to capture the painting behind me and the light. I just like this painting. It isn't one of my grandmother's but was done by a dear, dear friend of hers. It needs a new frame, but other than that it's quite pretty to look at. Different than one of my grandmother's paintings, but also a bit similar. You can tell that they worked together a lot, shared ideas. Anyway.
Today is my sister's birthday. She is... two years younger than me and I'll be 37 on my birthday, so that makes her 35. Oooooh, a milestone of sorts. Good thing I made it special by sending that birthday text. Ha! Actually, I'm going to see her tomorrow and spend a good portion of the weekend in her company. I think that's nice and shall make up for the birthday text, which is really kind of a cheesy way to say "happy birthday," isn't it?
