But, then again . . . . .

ICE!

By recent standards, the weather today was quit balmy, but those on the falling over cycles found the ice on the hill somewhat disconcerting. The run was to Pencaitland, where there is a very nice warm village hall for our lunch venue.

The mist and general overcast nature of the sky led people to comment that it was not a good day for photography; my suggestion that it was the photographer’s fault if he/she couldn’t find something worth photographing fell on stony ground; I didn’t mention that I often feel that way myself.

Since there was very little in the way of ice, it didn’t rain, and there was no wind, it was quite a good day for a cycle ride; coffee and cakes were at the café in Dalkeith Country Park, a new venue for us and a very satisfactory one. I arrived home quite tired, I can measure just how tired I am by the temperature of the bath water when I wake up
