APPLE PEEL

I had a nice lie in this morning but I've had a headache and have felt bunged up and weary all day - I think I have a cold coming on and I'm trying my best not to let it " take hold".

I had a hairdressers appointment this afternoon at 2pm.  It was a Groupon offer at a salon on the outskirts of Gateshead.  I wasn't quite sure how long it would take me to get there after I got off the bus so I made sure I was early.  In the end I was far too early so I just had a walk around for a bit.  It wasn't very pleasant weather for a wander though - cold and rainy - and so dark. 

I had hoped to get warmed up at the hairdressers but the place was freezing - and then of course I was sitting around with wet hair for a while.  Not too good when you are feeling a bit fragile. I am pleased with my haircut though and may go back to this salon - but if I do I will make sure I go when the weather is warm.

I had arranged to go and see Neil at work after the hairdressers as he works nearby - but his shift had changed at the last minute and he didn't start work till 4.30pm - I couldn't hang around that long.

So I decided to go to Gateshead instead.  I was going to walk but it was still raining so I just caught the bus.  Did a bit of shopping - mostly food but I also got a pair of slippers and a bobble hat. 

The Abstract Thursday challenge hosted by Ingeborg has an optional theme of B&W/Monochrome so here you have apple peel transformed into mono - and  faffed about with. ( I managed to get all the apple peel off in one go)

After yesterday this is another thumbnail which seems to suggest something different - this looks a bit like a horseshoe I think.
