Parking for people!

Here’s an unashamedly blatant Blip of a photo taken back in 2014 but there’s a reason for it.

Last night there was a programme on BBC2 about air pollution and community action to try and raise awareness/seek improvement to a local high street.

We did exactly the same thing in the same location with the same outcome back in 2014 and no mention of it was made. Some of the programme’s contributors even worked with us back in 2014.

Today’s photo is taken from my Blip from that day, when I was a Blip fledgling! It’s the same parking spaces that they used in the programme. Our lawn was classier...

It’s the project officer who worked on it back then that I feel for as she put in an extraordinary amount of time and effort with the local community and her effort was not recognised in the programme.

Having said all that, any opportunity by whoever is a good opportunity to get the message out there to a wider audience: that we can all make a difference to air quality with some very simple measures.
