The town Library - my life before the internet.

I used to visit here weekly in the 1960s as a child. It was staffed by dragons. Sssssssh - quiet please! The choice in the Children’s Section was great. So I later found out was the Adult’s Section, and the Reference Reading Room was well stocked. Coming here gave me great confidence in later using University Libraries and it fostered my life long love for books and quest for knowledge. Now I periodically use our local well stocked modern Library. We’re lucky here that our Local Authority recognises the value of Library Services; great books and wider community support.
And I wouldn’t be without my iPad & iPhone and internet connection. The technology has changed my life for the better in so many ways.
