Snails

Finally tasted snails! I spent the day in Paris with Elisabeth, Rosie, Rosie's new flatmate and Rosie's flatmate's friend. We ate lunch at the tiniest creperie where we felt like giants, then went up to the Sacre Coeur for a big food/wine festival in Montmartre - we walked through the streets of stalls, picking up any freebies and tasters we could find, faking wine expertise where necessary. Elisabeth, Rosie and I then bought some snails between us - not actually all that disgusting! Just very garlicky, though all of us got a sudden shiver down our backs at various moments at the thought of what we were actually eating
