Lucky Day
I didn't have high expectations when I went to the local gardens this morning with my camera. It's not a place I usually go to this time of year, but I was in the neighborhood and the weather has warmed up a bit, so I figured I could at least get a walk in there. I was lucky. I only saw a few birds, but they cooperated and I was able to get a few shots. I spotted a hawk (Red-shouldered I believe) up in the trees (in extras), and a Great Blue Heron. The heron was fishing in the small area where the ice had melted. In addition, this Northern Mockingbird was flitting around among the red berries. I think these birds are so photogenic. It also helps that they are not as skittish as some.
