David Bailey
Woke up at 10 this morning after another painful nights sleep. I’ve had numerous back injuries over the years. All picked up when working was a fireman years ago. This has left me with aching joints if I’m in bed too long.
Trouble is this bug of mine has seen me flat out for around 16 hours a day if not a little more. And this has lead to more pain than usual.
Today however I felt a little better first thing. If you can call 10 am first thing.
Had a call mid morning letting me know my book was in. I had ordered a book on David Bailey whilst in town with LandscapeGirl Saturday. It was in stock at another shop and could be transferred over to the local branch of Waterstones.
As I felt a bit better I decided to get some fresh air and go and pick it up.
It’s a rather tiny book but a quick flick through at the counter sealed the purchase and as it was lunchtime I decided to stop and have a coffee and sandwich whilst I had a read through.
I finished the book about the same time I finished the coffee. It wasn’t quite the body of work I was looking for but I thoroughly enjoyed what was there.
I caught a few minutes of a documentary about an exhibition of his last year and was really inspired by him. The book in its small way has done it again.
Now home I feel pretty pooh again. Phoned to see if a place on a pain management workshop was any closer (been waiting since Around April last year) and it seems there is no news on when it might happen.
With my marathon sleeps of recent I’ll need a very early night to night as I’ve got an 8:30 hospital appointment tomorrow.
It’s not been the best of starts to 2018 so far.
Think I need a little nap now
