This baby South Island Robin wanted to join us this evening - to the extent that he hopped up on the picnic chair to communicate his interest.

I headed home today, stopping off in Murchison for a long catch up with Adrienne and Lynette (FarmerGirl).  After spending a few hours setting the world to rights I headed south to Lake Daniels for a night.  Adrienne me me there in her camper and we spent a few more hours catching up.

We were visited by robins and tomtits and kakariki flew overhead.  I love to spend time enjoying our native forest birds.
