Them thar hills

Out for a long afternoon stroll.

I seem to notice the mountains, as from seen from Gijón, more in photos I've taken than with the naked eye.  I think the mountains visible here must be the Sierra del Sueve. Further on, behind them, would be the Picos de Europa.

A few years ago I set out to walk up to the highest point in the Sierra del Sueve, called Picu Pienzu, starting from the Mirador del Fito viewpoint. A lovely walk but I was defeated in the end by my return route below me becoming enveloped in cloud and too little remaining daylight.

Definately must give it another go this year.
