Downed Fir

A towering fir, maybe 70 to 80 feet, lies prone in our hilly forest. I think this fell a year or so ago. I walked across it, and the photo is a little deceptive because the trunk is maybe six to eight feet in its span above the ground. A good wildlife walk, too. Six deer, several gray squirrels, bluebirds, eagles across the creek, and the ubiquitous turkeys. Light rain, but fairly mild temperatures in the mid 40s.
