Umbrellas at the Marina
Months and months of drought, and then we get a day on the beach, and what does it do all day long?? And not just rain, but wind as well. Decided to walk along the boardwalk at Tróia anyway. Got thoroughly wet, front and back, but it was worth it - actually felt like I was breathing properly for the first time in weeks.
Extra is of Alcácer do Sal, where we stopped and got even wetter, including my camera (didn't take it on the boardwalk)... Our family might remember it as the place we had to shelter in the pousada up on the hill, as we couldn't cope with the heat. Wasn't the case today.
And then my husband treated me to a meal in Molhó Bico in Serpa, the first place we ever ate in the Alentejo; was as good as ever, and with a roaring fire, which dried us out and warmed us up.
Good to be home, and drinking onion skin tea (for cough, which is loads better)...
And so touched by all your supportive comments yesterday, thanks so much, not had time to answer them all...
