Arbroath Signal Tower

The signal tower was built in 1813 to service the Bell Rock lighthouse, 11 miles offshore.

We walked from Carnoustie to Arbroath, almost the whole way along the sand. Despite the dark day and the cold damp wind, it made for an enjoyable outing.

Even at 14:45 the light was fading, so I have given this image some spice from Luminar 2018.
