Tiny Tuesday - plant kingdom TT137

I had several options today for my blip but I chose this one because I thought it looked the most interesting. I went on a walk today after school because my son wanted to look for fossils. We didn’t find any fossils but we did see a beautiful robin who came very close to us near some bird feeders. I suspect he is a regular! We also saw some old conker shells, some interesting trees with ivy growing all over them and then we came across this. It is a rotting piece of wood with some white funghi growing on it.

I zoomed in a lot for this photograph and I know technically fungus is not a plant but it is growing on wood from the plant kingdom so I thought it was apt enough.

Going for a spontaneous walk today was really good fun and it made me realise I haven’t done enough of it lately, mostly because the dark evenings and cold weather puts me off. I know though that it’s just the getting out there that is difficult which is the same with many things!
