2018 Monday — Storm Surf
Rain has fallen most of the day. At about 3:30 we decided to drive over to the post office to drop off some bills that need to reach their destination by the end of this week. Then we took a quick drive through this little town to see it from several angles. All tourists had vanished and every restaurant was waiting for customers. So we headed home to put dinner in the oven and to watch the daylight disappear.

P.S. Just after we got back to our place, our realtor sent a text to notify us that he had emailed documents to sign. He sent more docs all throughout the evening. I think escrow is about to close on our little rental house. And just for the record I will state again, “I hate selling our real estate.” Other than our own home, we never intended to own property, but owning rental property has been financially good. We’re selling the place for almost three times what we paid for it when we purchased it in 1992 for our daughter’s family to live in it. Except for this past year, we’ve earned monthly income and seldom have major repairs and improvements needed to be done. I guess looking at a stormy sea today was apropos because this has been an emotionally stormy real estate season for us.
