It's Official

Today saw the official opening of the Kirkton Weir Fish Ladder as opposed to the  Un-Official Opening back in November!

A cooncillor and some high heid yins from the Forth Fisheries Trust (first extra) said a few words and presented our company with a certificate as recognition of our help and cooperation throughout the project.

These two fish ticklers then drew the short straw and waded into the ice coated River Almond to let the waters officially flow (second extra).

No fish were present at today's ceremony, not because of any boycott or snub..........they just haven't worked out how to use the ladder yet!
