Day at a Time

Public Services

This is the Central (formerly the Burgh) Library in Stirling. It was opened in 1904, one of several libraries in Scotland funded by the famous ex-pat Andrew Carnegie. I'm glad we still have public libraries. They provide an important public and social service. The nearer building also used to provide a public service. It's the former Municipal Building now a digital-technical hub for businesses in Stirling. Definitely not for the public, more's the pity.

I was out for an early dog walk. The lovely bright, sunny, frosty weather has gone. The rest of the day I'm going to be on the road so I'm blipping early too. Tonight, childminding duties resume after the holidays and we'll be having a toddler sleepover here.
