Heysham

The car service involved a visit to Heysham, and what better place to wait than the nature reserve around the nuclear power station ?
This is a large area well served with footpaths, planted with hedges, ponds, and a good walk right around to the sea wall.
There are often large numbers of sea birds around the outflow, using the disturbed water to feed and maybe it is warmer too.
There were not very many birds this time as the tide was very high, but it was great to get out in the sunshine after a long spell of low cloud and drizzle.
