Mahurangi rainbow
Another day which couldn't decide whether or not to continue with the storm of Saturday, or the sun of Sunday. So it did both, although mostly sunny and a cold wind encouraged staying inside to finish the agenda. All done.
I ran out into the farm land past Snells Beach and tried a number of different things, including a close up of flax flowers using Macro mode. Fail.
On the way back with the sun newly risen, rain to the west produced a brilliant rainbow. I felt happiest with this picture.
The distant hills are on Mahurangi West Peninsula, while I am on Mahurangi East Peninsula. Running between them is the Mahurangi River, widening into the Mahurangi Harbour. The mangroves in the harbour can just be made out in the left hand corner when seen large.
