Open air cinema

Last night we went to see Darkest Hour at the Open air cinema in the Botanic gardens.
The screen actually sits in the water and is raised just before the show. The program of shows last about three months until the end of February (where a new set up is organised for Opera for another month). At the end of April the whole set up of screen, seats, catering tents etc is removed to return again in December.
The film was excellent and Gary Oldman (in the most amazing make up) was deserving of his Golden Globe he won yesterday.
Another hot night (probably around 27) and thank goodness the thunder storms stayed away until we got home.
