Ready for a cold snap

Today took an unexpected turn. I was early back from Citizens Advice anticipating a quiet afternoon.  It was anything but when the delivery man phoned up to say he was on his way with a cubic metre of logs and 25 kilos of coal.  Those had to be moved from the front to the back of the house and stacked in the newly emptied coal bunker with an overflow stack in the shed.  Then the woodburner fitter phoned and said he would start tomorrow and so the living room had to be emptied, books boxed and everything dust sheeted. There will just be time for a quick dinner and then out again.
