Yellow coat in a tree

John has been pruning trees in recent days. The huge Rowan is looking good with a few lower limbs removed, several silver birch the same and the ladder made it to the beech tree but help is needed. His helping hand isn’t well which means some jobs have to wait.

This birch hosts a number of bird feeders and is a good place to hide (for birds) if the sparrow hawk glides through. We see all the usual garden birds here as well as tree creepers, a woodpecker and gold crest. The tree needs thinning and today was just a recce to look at what’s the best course of action.
