Rivi

Oh, what a glorious day. The sun shone and the sky was blue. I pondered on where to go as it was a day to be outdoors and decided on climbing up Rivington Pike. I picked up Pat and we wrapped up as it was icy cold. 

There were lots of other people who had had the same idea, but we managed to park. It was icy in places and I had to go at a slower pace than normal because of my knee, but we got to the top....and the view was wonderful. It was slightly hazy on the horizon so we couldn't see Blackpool Tower, but it was still an amazing sight. It was difficult to stay upright in the wind as it was blowing a hooley, but it was exhilarating. 

We walked down and then nipped in to see Mary and have a hot cuppa to warm us up. It was a lovely day.
