FAVOURITE WALK

Well, one of my favourite walks, but not because of its prettiness. I haven't gone there since last April - though I drive past a lot. They closed the seal hide and the official footpath and hides while they're doing flood prevention work and other general conservation which looks as though it's going to take months if not years to complete. However, it's quiet at the weekend, and I realised I can still walk along the other side of the Creek. This afternoon was lovely - still (despite the wind at chimney height) and chilly but not freezing - and what with the seals, the birds and the sunset, I came back feeling energised and uplifted.
