Chilled to the bone...

It's been cold today!! We have been hibernating since coming home from church!

No photos taken so I've borrowed one from our last visit to the family, just after Christmas. Sophia was given a skeleton kit and we finished it together. I then thought "it" needed some modesty so Sophia and I rummaged in her wardrobe...and here SHE is!! She was still looking out into the garden when we got home from our walk....

Yesterday afternoon we were invited to join other friends to celebrate the 50th wedding anniversary of our friends Bob and Ann. Ann is now at home receiving hospice care. Her bed overlooks the garden and she told us of the birds who visit the feeders and how she enjoys watching them. She is totally at peace and her spirit and faith are strong. It was a privilege to have a little time with her. Bob and their youngest daughter served everyone with tea or coffee and a slice of anniversary cake.

I thought of them lots during the night. Tomorrow is Ann's birthday.
