Another day at the reserve

I had a long walk at Dancersend Nature Reserve checking for more fallen trees and branches blocking paths - quite a few from last Thursday! There are always discoveries to be made on such a walk. The amount of litter found today was shocking. Why would someone hang a bag full of rubbish on a branch in the middle of a nature reserve! The Costa cup, with its highly ironic nature design, was also very irritating. It was a good thing (for my sanity) that just nearby was the leaf rosette of a Fly Orchid making good progress towards flowering in May (or earlier?). The highs and lows of a day at the reserve.
