Memorial

The first Sunday of each year there is a memorial service in Oldfield, Oakworth for the crew of a Canadian Wellington bomber that crashed on a training flight on January 2nd 1944. I have the privilege of playing the Last Post at it each year.

I have played there in extreme cold, extreme rain, fog, grey and dismal, but today it was a beautiful sunny day, which lifted the spirits.
