Too hot
We are in Sydney for a 60th birthday party. It was held at a picnic ground at the Lane Cove National Park. Fortunately it wasn't as hot as in the western suburbs which reached 47.3 degrees c ( highest temperature since 1939 ). The birds were standing around or up in the trees with their wings out to catch a bit of air to cool them off. We had spray bottles for water to keep us a cool as was possible in the heat.
The party was for my brother in law Graham and there was a mix of his family and friends including his two baby grandsons, one 3 months and the other about 10 months. They were ever so cute. I remember going to a neighbour's 60th when I was about 5 and couldn't get over the cake with 60 candles, I couldn't count that many. I thought he was ancient. Now 60 seems so young!
This morning we visited Cathy and her family before the party. Played some card games with the kids which was fun, it's nice to see them growing up. We are staying at James place at Cremorne. Tomorrow we head home.
