Yesterday's mystery object was correctly identified by Pixelfoto (of course!!) as being the syphoning gadget from a tray for growing sprouting seeds. It's nice to have really fresh sprouting seeds at any time of year, and they grow in about 4 days. They just need to be bathed in water once a day, and the gadget in the photo allows the water to drain from the top tray to the next etc, and then be collected in a container underneath. If I need an emergency Blip sometime (I'm sure I will!) I'll photograph the whole system.
