A look at Chianti

Went on a walk with a couple of friends today. It didn’t rain, but the greyness of the past few days hasn’t left yet.
The walk was mainly in the wood, but at a certain point we had a clear view of some of the hills in Chianti, with their vineyards, olive groves and woods of durmast oaks, whose wood was used to make the barrels where Chianti wine was stored.
The wood we walked through had been thinned out and I spent some time taking pictures of the cut down trunks (mainly conifers).
