Sunday: New Year's Eve

What with the temperature being so warm, we have to keep reminding ourselves that it is actually New Year's Eve. We had a nice chilled day at the beach. Before heading out for dinner, we met for pre-dinner drinks on our balcony - we have a particularly good view as we are high up and open to two sides. We had dinner at a pizzeria, with a great table, where we were able to watch the world go by.

Afterwards, we checked out the local street party. Enough to give us a flavour, but not for long, as none of us is a lover of crowds. And then back to our balcony to watch the fireworks and toast in 2018!

Finished a great read today, lent to me by Pam, 'The Way The Crow Flies' by Canadian author, Ann-Marie MacDonald. Brilliant story, a real page turner - it's been a long time since I've enjoyed a book that much.
