Last of the afternoon sun.

This was taken at about 15.40. I noticed the sun lighting up the trees in the park and up in St Ives woods beyond.

Some lovely sun this afternoon but disappointing this morning. I had another bad night and could see the sparkle on the grass in the middle of the night but by morning it was raining. Not sure that was forecast.
Spent the day tidying up and the house is now back to normal. The cat is pleased she's got 'her' chair back in it's normal place as the Christmas tree is now gone.

The gable to the right of the picture is the new extension on our neighbour's house. Looking good now the scaffolding is down though there is still lots to do inside (our elderly neighbours died last year and a young couple have taken the house but are not yet living in it)

Many people we speak to in the village seem to think this building will have taken our view but it does not extend beyond the original building line and as you can see we can still look down all the back gardens to the woods.
