Getting used to being back at work. Yesterday the first 5 a side of the year was hotly contested and hotly debated. Finished as a rare draw but only after we conceded a disputed penalty for making what I still claim was a legitimate tactical use of the changeover of keepers. So, after one game, there are 10 of us who can’t achieve a 100% record for the year. The whole of 2018 might as well be written off now...

This evening, after a quick shower to thaw out from 7-a-side football, I was off to Kiln Farm to MK11 to see Simply Floyd - a tribute band. I’m a bit dubious about tribute bands but these were very good and it’s unlikely that PF are ever going to play here themselves... Was supposed to meet some others but the place was so rammed (never seen so many middle-aged men in one place) that I never found them... Still, good music and two pints of Tribute (Cornish pale ale) so all to the good.
