Rain Tree

I've tried to capture the power of these wonderful trees but it's very difficult to do. My main blip shows some detail with ferns and all sorts growing in them. I've added a couple of extras to show the scale. They're over two hundred years old and they've been preserved in the building of the hotel ( I suppose I should say some of them have, I dare say some had to be felled) but they do seem to add grandeur, standing among the palms in the gardens.

We haven't done much today, well, it's the weekend, we're entitled to take it a bit easy, aren't we? It's been a lovely day and Lady Marian wanted to catch some rays. I stayed in the shade (and still seem to go brown for some reason).
