Brrr!!

Brrr!! says the sign in the window of ‘From the Church Lane’ amidst a delightful winter display.

“Brrr!! indeed!” I thought as I walked through the village past the glinting Christmas lights as they light the village square for the last evening before the switch off.

Hmph!! I thought as I read my bro Sunny’s Facebook status saying he’s full of the lurgy closely followed by a text from my best friend saying she’s on day 6 of a tummy bug. Everyone is ill!

Phew!! I thought as I switched off my computer after a 7.5 hour slog, coughing and sneezing my way through some work.

Then finally Ahhh!! I thought as I sipped hot lemon and ginger tea watching another episode of Downton Abbey.
