Jewel of an Eye

We're heading out for New York later than I expected today, so I had a chance to get a blip.  This Red-bellied Woodpecker was hiding from the wind in a patch of bamboo.  The air is frigid and little dog Leo was very quick to go about his business out there.  He had on a sweater and coat and still was back inside within five minutes.  I'm going to miss him when he returns to NJ today.
