pebble underneath my feet

yeh hai bombay meri jaan

Well actually this isn't Bombay. It's Dishoom, one of my favourite places to eat in London. It's a Bombay style cafe, similar to places like Leopold's in Colaba, which I really love. You can get really authentic Indian foods, like bhel puri, roomali roti and reaaaaaally amazing kulfi. It's the only place out of India I've been to where you can get drinks like Thums Up, Limca or cutting chai (in a glass-glass). To anybody who hasn't been to India, this may all sound a bit "meh", but anybody who has been to India, in particular Bombay, can hopefully get how awesome it is to re-live some of those experiences. I think Bombay may be my favourite city in the world - there is something about being by the sea, having the romanticism of Bollywood in the background and a crazy mix of nationalities living in one crowded place that made me feel right at home.

Something else I love about Dishoom is the decor: loads and loads of framed pictures of Bollywood stars, Indian families and of course, the rules of the café. The best feature of Dishoom may, however, be the name itself. It's the sound that Indian people make when they're pretending to fight someone in the crazy style of a Bollywood movie fight scene :)
