the golden hour

As hubby had a friend come by this afternoon, I took the opportunity to go out and do a few errands. One of which was to sit by a local pond and watch some waterfowl! I watched this pair for quite a while, a bit confused as to their identity because they both had their heads tucked in for a nap. But at last they woke up and struck a beautiful pose as the water became golden at sunset.
An update on health insurance snafus: hubby now has a free gym pass, and we have instructions from the pharmacy on how to make due on old meds until the new company hears back from the doctor. It seems it is the doctor's office that is holding things up!
