Fisherman’s wharf
Back blip
Today’s trip is to Vancouver Island.
The coach took us southward out of the city to Tsawwassen to board the ferry for a 90minute ride.
We visited Butchart Gardens, absolutely beautiful, very English country garden style and spent a couple of hours walking round, taking loads of photos.
Then on to Victoria, the provincial capital of British Columbia. We were dropped off at Fisherman’s wharf to see the colourful houseboats, boats and businesses sitting on the waters edge, a magnet for tourists.
We walked back to the city centre with it’s impressive Victorian buildings. The harbour area has seaplanes buzzing in an out continuously and little boats ferrying people from one side to another.
This is a place that is a "must" to see if visiting Vancouver.
