This evening I have mostly been sorting out the next phone/broadband contract... oh so exciting, but it's either that or automatically start paying an extra tenner as the current contract ends.

It's actually a strange system with utilities here, I wonder if other countries do the same. We're attracted to cheap phone, gas, electricity contracts for a year, which then jump up automatically at the end. By changing we suddenly get the cheap deals again and then if you apply for those contracts via a cashback site, like quidco, you suddenly get £70 back... for doing nothing apart from going via another website. If you are prepared to go through a few hoops you can save £100s a year... it's daft.

Aye so we are back with the comms co we were with last year, and in 18 months we'll be back with the one we are just leaving... I've given up waiting for this rural wifi project, I thought it was going to save us!
