Day in Edinburgh

We made use of our bus passes today and went into Edinburgh for a day of culture and coffee stops. First we went to the Exhibtion of Scottish Art - Ages of Wonder and then (after lunch) we went to the Portrait Gallery to see the BP Portrait Award exhibition and the When We Were Young photographic exhibition. Fortunately we had fortified ourselves with plenty of coffee and cake because our bus home had a problem with its brakes and we had to wait half an hour for the next one to arrive
