Sluice
The river is rising today after the rain a couple of days ago, and when I was there was just about to breach the banks. I doubt it'll get very much higher now unless we get a lot of rain in the next 48 hrs. All the same, there's usually a drop of around four feet across this sluice, and today it was more or less level going through. The extra was taken a bit further downstream.
It was quite a job walking against the wind a times, although once it was at my back it was the reverse of course. And I managed to be out for the short time that the sun was coming through the lightish cloud. When the river does flood (the last time was about a week ago) it's quite a sight as the water meadows are fairly extensive, on both sides.
