Unsolicited advice...
Watch out when making promises that you don't pause too long after "I promise to execute...." This kind of thing can make people jumpy. I'm sure that was just a blip. You're going to be exceptional and brilliant. They're bound to be nerve-wracking, the first few days in a new job. There are bound to be important phone calls to make, to old and new clients. Some cold calling's unavoidable. Hopefully there'll be one or two invitations to lunch. To break the office ice, offer to do the Starbucks run sometimes, and help de-jam the copier. There's bound to be some work to look at in the evenings; stay off the heavy carbs at lunchtime. Oh, and put your name on your stapler.
